Martin Gross married Lydia Ellinwood Apr. 2, 1880 in Madison county.He was the son of Martin and Sarah(Taylor)Gross.Martin and Sarah were married in Gallia co. OH Feb. 3, 1825.

THE GROSS BROTHERS
We make special mention of the six sons of Martin and Sarah Gross who "wore the blue" in the Civil War.They were Morris, Enos, Harvey, Martin Jr., Thomas and Jacob.All came back, although some were wounded.They were brothers of the second Mrs. Samuel Wright.
