I am looking for a Joseph GROSE who married an Ann ____ and had children John, Joseph, Mary Ann [BENNETT], and Richard. --Joseph GROSE b. 1792-1796 (Censuses vary) in Luxulyan. --Married to an Ann ____ who was b. 1801-1806 in Gwennap, Redruth or Wendron. Unknown where or when the marriage occured. --Possibly had a son, Richard, b. about 1830 in Cornwall. --Son John b. about 1835 in Saint Blazey. --Son Joseph b. in Saint Blazey. Baptised 25 Dec 1837 in St Blazey (IGI). --Daughter Mary Ann b. Dec 1840 or 1841 in St Blazey. --Family is located on Census in St Blazey in 1841. --If the Richard above is their son, he must have died before the next child was born. --Son Richard b. abt 1844 in St Blazey. (This is the child who is my ancestor of interest.) --Mary Ann and Richard were baptised 9 Apr 1847 in Saint Blazey (IGI). --For the 1851 and 1861 Censuses, the family remained in St Blazey. --Mary Ann married a William Henry BENNETT 1862. --Richard had a child by Emily Jane CADDY in Calstock in 1864 (no marriage record found; he was listed on the child's baptismal record, but he is not named in the GRO's records). Richard "disappears" after this--no death records can be tied to him. --Mary Ann travels to America to meet her husband about 1867 and settles in Colorado. --Joseph and Ann are located in St Blazey for the 1871 Census. --Ann dies (several possibles on freebmd). --Joseph is in St Blazey for the 1881 Census. He has a 10 and a 12 year-old, both female, both with a last name of BAKER, living with him as visitors. He is a pauper. --Joseph's death is recorded in the 4th Quarter of 1882. There are several possibly Joseph GROSEs in the IGI who were baptized in Luxulyan: 29 Apr 1792 to Joseph and Grace 4 Jan 1795 to Robert and Mary Does anyone recognize this family?
