General Wm.Grose was my gg uncle. His brother Issac Grose was my gg grandfather. Issac's son was Martin Luther Grose who died in the 1937 at the Soldiers Home in Lafayette, IN. My father was born Wm. W. Grose and is the son of Lee Roy Hugh Grose who was the son of Martin Luther Grose. Our family is from Wayne Co. Indiana.

I have a copy of the general's obituary from 1900. It shows he had seven children They were W. Grose who died in his early manhood. Sarah Moore, wife of Joseph Moore of Albuquerque, Ella Clements, wife of Court Clements of Washington DC, Madison Grose of Williams, Arizona Territory, Adolphus Grose of Chicago and James L. Grose of Los Angeles

Hope some of this helps.
