I have been very fortunate to find more information on the Groscosts. Sorry I did not see your 2007 posting as my email has long since changed. I will be happy to provide you more information as I was able to document the full family for another Supplemental Application to the Sons of the American Revolution for my son Guy Almony. I was finally able to sort out the family with original records.
DEATH: Levi Groscost died Hanover, York Co, PA male white widower on Sep. 18 1910 born March 7 1821 age 89y7m 11d farmer, born PA father Daniel Groscost, born PA, mother Christina Decker, born PA, seen Jan 1 1910 to Sep 18 1910, died on 3:30am, acute uraemia, cerebral apoplexy, dr. H.M. Alleman, Hanover. info. Solomon Bixler, Hanover, PA, buried Mt. Olivet Cemetery undertaker George. W. F. Thomas, Hanover.#97956
MARRIAGE: Daniel appears to have first married Elizabeth Bowser dau of Samuel Bowser of Adams County then Christina Decker. Heirs of Samuel Bowser in news article on 24 November 1829 say Elizabeth and Daniel were deceased. Daniel's daughter, Sophia, is recorded in the notice as "intermarried with John Decker".Their marriage took place about 1821.
Samuel Bowser estate in Adams Co Sentinel Dec 9 1829 p 2 issue mentions his heirs including daughter Elizabeth, who intermarried with Daniel Groscost, who died leaving issues three children to wit Sophia, intermarried with John Decker, Jesse Groscost, and Eliza Groscost.

Daniel Groscost late of Hamilton Twp Adams Co decd died intestate left issue seven children viz Jesse, Sophia, Eliza, Daniel, Susannah, Lei and Levi all in their minority and also a widow that the personal estate was insufficient for the payment of his debts. However he owned lands containing 6 acres in Hamilton Twp, and land in Berwick Twp containing 5 acres.
WILL: John Groscost of Berwick Twp. Adams Co, PA, very sick, names wife Christina all my children named John, Jacob, Elizabeth, Susanna wife of Joseph Little, Christina wife of John Knight, Daniel, and Mary (deceased), wife of John Boll. executors son Daniel, Samuel Bowser Sr. witnesses Richard Knight, Henry Staup, John Slagle, will dated Sep. 23 1801 prob. Oct. 27, 1801 Willbook A p 95
[these first three kids are named as children by first wife in deeds so the rest must be by second wife]
WILL: Philip Noll of Berwick Twp York Co. dated April 26 1771 probated Jan. 26 1785 wife Elizabeth sons Johan Yost and George Noll who are exec. mentions other children dau. Susannah m. Frederick Golwix Jr., Elinor, Mary Elizabeth, and Christina Noll m. John Groscost. WB F p. 324.
Philip Nollsurviving executor George Noll shows balance of 6-2-9 pds due estate plus 4-6-2 pds. OC Book F p. 111.
John was a patriot.
