Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Robin, I found your Groover family!! They are not connected to my husband's Groover ancestors, though.
Your great granfather's name was Forest Rester Groover. He married Jewell A. Hendricks. There is a complete family history at the Family Tree Maker site.
Type in familytreemaker in the address area. Then type in Forest Groover and check out the seven sites available on your Groover family.
The earliest ancestor, Peter Gruber/Groover, fought in the Rev War in North Carolina before moving to Georgia.
Good luck with your research.
Pam Groover, Va. Bch., VA
