Would you be connected with Amos G. Groom(s)? On one census he is Amos Groom. On another he is Amos G. Grooms. He married my husband's great grandmother's sister, Martha Drummond, whose people settled near Lexington and Dover, MO. Martha's parents were married in 1816 in Casey Co., KY. Her father was James Drummond, and her mother was Sarah (Sally) Farrar. I just checked the KY and MO cnesuses for all three families to verify they were there, but I didn't check Casey Co., for the Groom(s) family. Amos was involved with Willis Drummond in some land deals. Willis had been a major in the Union Army during the Civil War and was commissioned as a Federal Land Agent after the war. Quite a write-up on internet for him. He was the 2nd son of James and Sally. Good hunting!
