Am seeking any information on Richard Groom of Bensalem and Southampton Bucks County. He married to Sarah Scott (b. between 1786-1790) died 1838), daughter of Samuel Scott of Bensalem (1761-1820) and Mary.

Bucks County Orphan File #2834. On August 28, 1820; Samuel Scott of Bensalem. Widow Mary. Seven children, Benjamin Scott, Isaac Scott, Sarah, wife of Richard Groom, Samuel Scott, Ann Vensell [Wenzell], Mary Boskirk [Van Buskirk] and Elizabeth Scott. Owned 10 acres.

Bucks County Orphan File #4930. On February 15, 1838, Sarah Walton of Southampton, deceased. Husband Abel Walton. Five chilren, Joseph Groom, Charles Groom, Susannah, wife of Thomas Winder, Rachel Groom and Benjamin Groom, last three minors. Owned 1 acre.

Sarah apparently married to Abel Walton after the death of her husband Richard Groom after 1820s. The 1820 census in Southampton showed Richard Groom but not in 1830 census. Abel Walton appeared in 1830 in Southampton.
