Looking for info on Johannes Groh (dob 1750) who was the son of Mathias Groh & Anna Grove . Johannes Groh lived in Fredricksburgh, Bethel Ts., Penns. where he apparently worked as a weaver . On or about March 13, 1788 he sold his land to his father in law Jacob Meyer & joined a group of River Brethren moving to Upper Canada. They arrived at Niagara in late summer (1788) & settled on lot 9 Concession 6 in Pelham. The Crown Patent for his land was issued March 13, 1797. While in Pennsylvania he was married to Magdalena Meyer. Their children were named : Anna, John, Abraham, Elizabeth, Jacob, Peter & Michael. This family were founding members of the Pelham Tunker Church. Johannes died in 1816. Anyone else researching this family ? Any links, advice & info is appreciated ... contact Anita via e-mail
