I don't have any information on who L.G.'s brother John married yet; but I have more information on his Civil War service, and other Groggs that were in his regiment (I wonder if they could be brothers?):
He served as a Color Sgt. in The 63rd Virginia Infantry, Co. H. Men were mostly enlisted from Wythe Co., although a few were from Smyth Co.
The other Groggs enlisted in this regiment were:
Bill Grogg, James W. Grogg, Jerry A. Grogg, and O.P.H.B Grogg.
If anyone has any information on these soldiers, please let me know!!
