There is spectulation, no proof, that the Henry Groff at Ruggells Station is Henry Groff, born abt. 1765 Pa., married Margaret in Ky. Four children born in Ky. : Andrew, Charlotte, Margaret, and Henry. Thomas, Elizabeth and Balser born in Franklin Co. Mo. Henry was an early settler of St. Louis, County/Franklin Co. Missouri. A Henry Groff is among the signers of a petition to appoint a new governor for the Territory of Louisiana (1803-1806). This Henry died 1814 in Franklin Co. Mo.
