My family settled in Chicago by way of Cincinnati then Milwaukee. They were coppersmiths. They were worked for breweries in Cincinnati then in Milwaukee. They moved to Chicago after the Chicago fire. There was a lot of work in the area at the time. My fathers name is Fred Groen.
