I know very little about the Groen family, but you mentioned Noord, Holland! This is what I know:

Maartje Jans Groen b. unknown, married Gerrit Koppedraaijer in Noord, Holland on January 11, 1806. They had 8 children:
Pieter 1807-1832
Trijntje 1809-1823
Jan 1811-1813
Klaas 1814-1847
Jan 1816-18__ (came to America 1869)
Willem 1819-1854
Dirk 1821-1846
Trijntje 1824-1882

Gerrit died in Andijk, Noord, Holland on Feb 17, 1833. Maartje died in Andijk, Noord, Holland on Feb. 18, 1827.

Does Maartje Jans Groen tie into anyone's family? Does her middle name of Jans indicate that Jan Groen was her father? I've noticed that before, in other Holland names.
