Looking for any information on Nancy Ann Green, born 1811, married Moses Doty in 1846 in Jackson County, MO. She had a son, John Green, born 1832. I just heard a family story that she came to the US from Germany after her husband (presumably Green/Gruen) died, when her son John was nine. This would put her coming to the US in 1841. She is said to be Black Dutch, which I suppose may mean she came from near the Black Forest in Germany (Deutschland). Her name was probably changed to Green when she came into this country.
