I am desc. of John & Cincinatti Groce of LCT. I found one Lavina Ashby 1860 census,Lincoln Co,Tenn. next to one Luke Groce. If this is your Lavina, she was probably of my family line from NC. 1840 LCT census, Luke, John, and Wilson Groce were living neighbors to each other. One Jacob Groce within the near area, age, 60-70, is I think, the Jacob Groce who married one Rachel Rennigar/Rennegar in NC. 3 Rennegars are living near the Jacob Groce. (In 1830, Jacob Groce in Surry Co.,NC, had several females in house.)

From Bible record , my 4th g-grandfather was Peter Groce who died 1818, NC. "Someone else" raised my John Groce who is living by Luke and Wilson, 1840 LCT.

I have a land record copy written 1868 which shows Wilson Groce, deceased, had land boardering my John Groce's land.

Mention will hopefully be made of some of my family in the upcoming Lincoln Co. Heritage book
