Thank you for the Lnc.Tnn site. I have since learned that my John Groce was son of Peter, who was son of Simon Groce of Surry Co.,NC. I See that one Elizabeth Ashby is living next to Cincinatia Groce in 1860. My John Groce died 1858.Their daughter Martha Groce married George Benton Tiller of Lincoln Co. I know that one other Ashby was married to G.Tiller's step-sister. Sorry that I can't help you with "Lavina"Groce.
