Rolland:

We sure are related. I descend from Jacob through Daniel, John (Jack), Henry Franklin, and Benjamin Franklin. I think Anna Groce is my 2d great grand-aunt. I'm surprised that I don't have you in my Family Tree Maker. Check out my web sites at

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~thehootsfamily/
and

http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=hootsfamily

and tell me where you fit in.

Henry and Anna Groce Hoots are shown in the 1850 census of Overton County, Tennessee. He died in 1865 and it's possible that she came back to North Carolina and is the Ann in my story. Do you have anything on her later life?

I'd also like to get all the family tree information for Simon Groce, Sr., and his descendants - maybe a GEDCOM?

Hope to hear from you. Best regards.

Rod Hoots
Arlington, Virginia
