You have not given any dates, which makes it a little hard to help you but I did find one family in the 1910 census of Sacramento (Ward 4), Sacramento Co., CA, p.6a, Fam #114:
Harvey GRISWOLD, 49y (b. abt 1861), MI; m. 14y; father b. NY; mother b. MI; machinist, locomotive
Eliza M., wife, 41y, b. CA; m. 14y; father b. WI; mother b. CA; mother of 2 children, 2 living.
Edith, dtr, 11y, b. CA
Ariella, dtr, (unable to read age), b. CA
