Hello Alfreda,
I'm seeking info. about Curtis Grissom who also lived in New Madrid Co., Mo., and later he lived in Clarkton, Dunklin Co., Mo. Curtis Grissom was born in Illinois, and died in Dunklin Co., Mo., he and Dessie were buried at Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Clarkton, Dunklin Co., Mo.! I wonder if your Ensley Grissom could have been related to Curtis! Curtis was born Dec. 22, 1883, probably in Pike, Gibson, or Warrick Co., Illinois. He was a orphan according to family legend, not sure who his parent's were! He is probably related through David & Emberzille "Barker" Grissom! I would appreciate any lead's on this line. Curtis was living with Elijah & Delana "Grissom" Murphy on the 1900 Census of Gibson Co., Indiana. And the 1910 Census of Clay Co., Arkansas, several Grissom's lived there too, from Illinois. Curtis & Dessie were living in New Madrid Co., Mo. on the 1920, & 1930 Census.
William G. Latham Jr.
