Index for the GRISSO FAMILY book

Fellow GRISSOs;

After working off and on, on compiling an index for the GRISSO FAMILY book that was edited by Marvin Nelson from data compiled by Carridon and Rowena Grisso, I have finally come to the end.

I did not do this the easy way by using a spread sheet program. This was done by hand writing all of the names and the pages that those persons are mentioned on. Then the data was typed into Microsoft WORD.

I work out of town every weekend, so this weekend I will proof-read it again for the upteenth time. There are 5538 entries on 99 pages. Of these there are 988 entries of the surname GRISSO. Since I entered both maiden and married females, I would hazard a guess of about 3000 separate individuals. I also entered every name that is mentioned in the book, this includes a half dozen or so Catholic popes and some other famous people of the time period.

I am not going to put this information on any website for the time being. I am going to offer it for a modest price. The cost for a 1.44MB disk will be $5 plus postage. The CD disk will be $10 plus postage and a printed and bound by KINKO's version will be $15 plus postage. On the printed version, you may have your choice of double-sided or single sided printing.
