Elizabeth Grinnell - my GG G Grandmother who wed Joshua Jones
Elizabeth Grinnell was of English descent, I think, She was an orphan with 2 older brothers. One of he brothers was an Epicopal Rector in St. Mary's County in Southern Maryland, the other was a Sea Capt. with his own trading vessel. Elizabeth was living with an aunt, a Mrs. Cassron (her name may be misplelled here) in Hagerstown, Md. when she met Joshua Jones, fell in love, eloped, & was disinherited by her family. She never saw them again. Elizabeth & Joshua had 3 children: Angeline, Joshua I, & Samuel. Angeline was my GG Grandmother. Her daughter Mary Ellen Elizabeth Muck was my G Grandmother. The branch of Mucks/Mocks Angeline married into went back to 1752 in America. Christoph Georg Muck came to the English Colonies as a German Pioneer. He married & had 5 children. He bought land in Frederick, Co. Md. & died the same yr. 2 of his sons fought in the American Revolution. I have been concentrating my efforts of family research to the Muck/Mock side since we are planning to join the DAR & SAR. However, I'm trying to also find out information about other relatives. Anyone knowing anyone related to the above let me know. Thanks.
