I am absolutely amazed! I had no idea that there was one of my Grinder decendents in the Revolutionary War! Where do you find the book that you mentioned about the war? And where did the old documents about Robert and the wagon train originate from? My Aunt Sue Grinder Hamm, wrote a "book" that had the same information in it. That is where she was quoted saying that Robert's wife was a Native American, not proven to my knowledge. Also, I h ave been told by one of the contacts oon my Garner side of my research that it is thought that Robert and his wife Sarah are possibly buried on Trace Creek in Perry County. Now I have tromped all over that county in my youth and I don't know for sure where Trace Creek is, but my brother will and I intend on getting him to go with me to try and findthe cemetery. My wife is a DAR but I h ad no idea that we had that on both sides of our family. Thank you all so much for sharing.
Phil
