Hello Peter,having just "stumbled"upon the Study I can offer some comment re Sir Harbottle G.My understanding is he was a SPEAKER of the House of Commons,and allegedly did a deal with Oliver Cromwell to gain that position.My recollection is that he is chronicled in Burkes Peerage (older editions).regards Roger. Auckland New Zealand.
