There are a number of Grimstones in New Zealand.The majority are direct descendants of Samuel Grimstone,who was on the staff of Governor Hobson the first governor appointed by Queen Victoria.Sam was the first Postmaster General of N.Z.albeit in an "Acting" capacity.Apparently he lasted six months in this job and susequently moved around N.Z.before moving to Australia.He is buried in Sydney. Perhaps I can expand on some of this,if there is any futher interest from yourself or any others. regards R.G.Grimstone
