Wow, how exciting it is to find this name! My grandfather's name was Christopher Grimson and was born in Airdrie in Scotland in 1916. He mentioned that the name was derived from Grimstone. Seeing that it is such an uncommon name it is so nice to find out about it! Now, he did mention a link with a Duke of Norfolk named John Grimston from the 1750's, who eloped with a chamber maid. Any information at all would be so greatly appreciated! How might I find out more about the book "The Grimstons of Gorhambury"? Thanks for your help!
