I'm trying to find more about a connection of the Grimsley family to the Tye family of Culpeper, Va. in the mid- to late 1700's.
I have a Henry Tye b. 1764 and a John Tye b.c. same time who were mentioned in an estate or land transaction in 1812.
James Grimsley and his sister, Sarah Grimsley Arnold and the two Tye's were mentioned.
Are the Tyes related to the Grimsleys?
Does anyone know anything about these Tyes or other Tyes of Culpeper or nearby counties of Madison and Rappahannock?
