I am seeking any information on Harry Mayo McGill (b:1891/92 d:12/25/1949) who married Fobie Milligan (b: 4/16/1894, d: 2/1974).
They had 4 children:
Fobie M. Parker (b:1/10/1914)
Martha Freeman (b:11/6/1923)
Raymond McGill (b:3/15/1925)
Throney M. Harrellson Douglas (b:6/9/1927)
Fobie Milligan McGill was the daughter of Martha Grimsley(b:1865) who married David Franklin Milligan.
They had 2 children:
Fobie McGill(b: 4/16/1894)
Mamie Gaines Snipes.
Martha Grimsley was the daughter of Civil (sp) Barfield (b: 1831-1835) who married James Grimsley( b: 1830 d: 1879; NC). Civil (sp.) and James were married 2/22 or 26/1855 in Robeson, NC.
Civil (sp.) Grimsley was listed on the 1880 Census as a farmer and head of Household living in Back Swamp, Robeson County,NC.
Civil and James had 4 children:
Stafford Grimsley (b:1862)
Fannie Grimsley (b:1863)
Martha Grimsley (b:1865)
Olia Grimsley (b:1871).
Any information is greatly appreciated. I am the last of my immediate family. Fobie Milligan McGill was my grandmother; Martha Grimsley Milligan was my great grandmother and Civil (sp.) Barfield Grimsley was my great great grandmother. If anyone has information further back than Civil and James... I would love to have it.
