I'm looking for information about my great-great grandfather, John J. Grimsley. He is buried in Alexander City, Alabama. His first wife was Sarah McClendon?. Their daughter Hettie was my great grandmother. I know he fought in the Civil War, but can find no information about his parents or where he came from.
