My husband's family name is Grimmett. We are from Louisiana as well...In the Acadiana region (More in Port Barre area) His parent's are Christopher Charles Grimmett and Melissa Rills Grimmett. Christopher's parent's are Charlie Grimmett and Venieta Ryder. Charlie and Venieta had 7 surviving children: Katherine Ruth Grimmett Moreau, Alice Grimmett Aucoin, Charlotte Grimmett Tate, Grover Bradley Grimmett , June Grimmett Nezat, Susie Ann Grimmett Edwards, and Christopher Charles. I believe Charlie Grimmett's father was Sam Grimmett. (he was thought to father many children without marrying) My husband's name is Charlie Ryan Grimmett. He has two siblings, Eric Christopher and Kylie Kay Grimmett Chellette. If you know of this family tree, please contact me.
