James Iris Grimmer was the son of James Asbury Grimmer and Mary Ann Teat. James Iris was born 11/2/1884 in Pike County, AL, and died 1/23/1964 in AL. He married Sue Mack Powell (daughter of Thomas W. Powell and Elizabeth L. Hill) on 7/27/1902 in Pike County. They had 5 children (that I know of): Gladys born about 1903; James Thomas "Jim" born about 1905; Tom born about 1907; Lizzie born about 1910; and Lula born about 1912. Sue Powell's mother, Elizabeth, was born 11/4/1855 in AL and died 2/9/1910 in Pike County (buried Center Hill Cemetery.) After Elizabeth died, Thomas W. Powell was married on 1/8/1911 in Pike County to Lona Lee Allen, born July 1892. He was 43 and she was 19. I don't know where they were buried. Can you tell me anything more about Jim, the son of James Iris and Sue Grimmer?
