FYI - DAVID GRIMES, Pendleton, SC - Captain

Has anyone worked on the Grimes who were enumerated in Chester County, South Carolina, in 1790 ? (I'm new to Grimes research as it has recently intersected other research.)

FYI - David Grimes of Chester County, South Carolina, who was listed as a Lieutenant in the militia in "Roster of South Carolina Patriots in the American Revolution" by Bobby Gilmer Moss, purchased land granted to Charity Ridgway, widow of Captain John Ridgway, after she had remarried. The land was 160 acres on Hurricane Creek in Pendleton County, South Carolina, and Captain David Grimes was later called as a witness to testify in a horse theft. Witnesses to the deeds were John Ware and Thompson Dickson. Later, a James Adams also became involved.

My interests are strictly about Captain David Grimes and his family. I will do more research in exchange for insights about his family.
