Hi Nancy - this is what I have on Lazarius and Lydia (GRIMES) IVES: Lazarus IVES was a Lieutenant under Captain CURTIS in Colonel HOOKER's Regiment of the Connecticut Militia in the Revolutionary War.He entered the service while residing in Plymouth but his pay records show that he was stationed in Peeks Kill Barracks #3.Perhaps this was when he became acquainted with Poestenkill, New York, for after the war was over he leased several acres of land from Killiaen VAN RENSSELAER, one of the Dutch Patroons who had land in Poestenkill. There he farmed and raised cattle with his two sons, Christopher and Lazarus. The farm was in Sandlake near Poestenkill.

I bet that your Mary and my Lydia are sisters.
