At the Montgomery County Court on November 7, 1780:
" A bill of sale from Dr. Thomas Walker of Albemarle County(Virginia) to Joseph Gray, and Abraham Trigg for a negro named Moll, and to the use of Philadelphia Grills, wife of John Grills, was proved by the oath of William Preston, Gent. and ordered to be certifyed."
Nothing further has turned up in the Court record so far. (possession is 9/10ths of the
law????)
