In the Name of God Amen I William McTeer of Laurens County & State of South Carolina Being thas the abundant mercy & goodnefs of God the weak in Body yet of a sound & perfect Understanding & Memory thanks be to almighty God & Caulling to Remberance the Uncertain State of this Transitiory life & all flesh must yealed to Death Do Make Constitue ordaine this to be my last will & testament Revoking and Annulling all former will & wills [word: ‘Before’ struck out] havtofore by me maid & Delivere & this to be taken for my Last will & none other in manner & forme following
Item I will & Bequeath my loving wife to go to Nathanal Vanue [transcriber’s note: VANCE] & my Children while thay keep Unmaried in case I leve my Wife in during her lifetime and that all my Property Shall be Sold by my Executors and the money arifsing from the some to be said out ontwo young Negros wenches for the Surport of my threeDaughters the furst Borne to Margrit the Second to Elizabeth the Third to Frances and the Capow of the Negros to Remaine in the pofsision of my Childrin miner to be sold and the Next Borne of the Negroes if aney I will to Nathanel Sun of William the next if aney to William McTeer McTeer to Rest with them for Ever and thare hairs Eaich of my Childrn if they have any Negro Children Borne to them they shall Cloth and pay thare taxes whil with Nathenal Vance my grand Children is No to be Equal hairs with my Children if aney of my three daughters shall Die with out Essue thare part shall be Eqqualy shared with the oter two daughters I will Eaich of my three Daughters one Bed and furniture I will and Bequeath Unto my Daughter Jeane McTeer five Shillings Sterling I will that one hundrid & ninty acres of Land shall be sold and one Negro man to be sold with all my property of Every kind I also appyant Nathanal Vance and Charles Griffin to be my Executors of this my last will and Testament
