Do you know when and where Nathan Sims and Nancy Griffin were married? Anything further about them, any children?? I do see that you posted the will of William Griffin, but don't see any mention of a daughter Nancy Griffin or Nancy Sims. I'm a long time searcher for information about Sims of several lines and with special attention to Laurens County, South Carolina. I do have some data on a number by the name of Nathan Sims and/or Nathaniel Sims, but don't find any of either name married to Nancy Griffin. Nathan Sims of Abbeville Dist., SC. whose will is dated 15 Dec. 1803 is quite well documented. His 1st wife, Agnes and 2nd wife Mary Downs. He was a Revolutionary War Soldier with the rank of Pvt. Nathan Sims (15 May 1745 - April 1795) is thought to have died in Chester Co., SC. All I have is that his wife was Mary [maiden name unknown]. She may have died in Union Co., SC. I show they had nine children, none named Nathan. His parents are shown as Matthew Sims,Jr. and wife Jemima Glenn. Nathan did have a grandson, Nathan Sims, born abt. 1795 in Chester Co., SC. I do have a rather large binder full of data about John Sims and wife Nancy Ann Griffin and their descendants. He, John Sims, is thought to have been born about 1744 possibly in Virginia and died about 1805 in Laurens Co., SC. Best evidence I've managed to compile shows that John and wife Nancy, had at least eleven children, but none named Nathan or Nathaniel. However, there was a grandson, Nathan Sims, born abt. 1787 in Laurens Co., SC. and died 29 Dec. 1871. I show that he was 1st married abt. 1808 possibly in Laurens Co., SC. to Hannah Burtz and 2nd to the widow, Mrs. Marie Walker fuller. Let me know if you have anything further.
