Would any of you GRIFFIN researchers have any information about the following GRIFFIN family?
___________

John L. GRIFFIN b. abt. 1825 in South Carolina and wife Adaline (Aaline or Aline) maiden name unknown b. abt. 1826 in South Carolina
___________

In 1850 and 1860 census the family was listed in Western Dist. Marion Co, Alabama
___________

1870 they were in Township 2 Range 15 in Colbert Co, Alabama
listed with the following children:
Margaret 18 b. AL
Cullin 16 b. AL
Thomas 14 b. AL
Sarah 10 b. AL
Jefferson 8 b. AL.

I have been unable to locate the family in 1880 census.

I am particularly interested in Thomas but would like to know anything about this entire family. I am trying to find out IF "It is possible" this Thomas GRIFFIN "could be" my Grandfather b. 1855 in AL d. 1909 in Ardmore, Carter Co. OK when My Mom was 10 years of age. All the information I have came from the 1900 census of Ardmore, Indian Territory.

I have an adult picture of My Thomas GRIFFIN but so far have been unable to find his family. If this is NOT his family then I can continue my search. Any information would be a help to me.

Thanks,
Nell
