How excited I am to see your message.
My mothers cousin was Margaret Jessie Underwood and her sister Eversley (Eva) Cox nee Underwood is still alive.
Her father was John Grieve Underwood son of Margaret Kay Grieve and Robert Arthur Underwood. I live in Christchurch and am just copying some old photo albums with lots of photos of the family.
Although this is not my direct line. John Grieve Underwood married my grandfathers sister Maggie McNair and I am putting together that side so delving into the Grieves etc. I have 3 Grieve families in my research but none look to be related despite coming from a similar area.
I would love to hear from you.
