Hello Michael, Fantastic to see your reply to my Grieve family query. yes we are on the same family line. My info on Christopher and Margaret came via Audrey Elliot of Gateshead UK she found them on the 1841 cenus at Cavers, Ashybank Farm. My descent is through Walter born c.1811 possibly at Cavers or Hawick he according to family "he took sheep north and never went back" which would be how he lived the rest of is life in Dingwall area.I live in Christchurch New Zealand not sure where you are from your e_mail address. Would very much like to correspond and share what I have re this family and how you found the info you have. I am going to Scotland again in august this year and will spend time in the Borders hoping to find at least some deaths.
Regards
Jill Lord
