This doesn't agree with what I have. The Thomas Grieve who married Jane Hogg died in Cockburnspath on 10 Jan 1874 (Jane died 4 days later). He was the son of Alexander Grieve and Janet Graham of Whitsome. He'd previously been married to Helen Paulin. This information is all on his death certificate.

3 i. Jane GRIEVE was born on 15 Feb 1839 in Cockburnspath, Berwick Scotland.
4 ii. George GRIEVE was born on 19 Mar 1842 in Cockburnspath, Berwick Scotland.
5 iii. James GRIEVE was born on 25 May 1844 in Cockburnspath, Berwick Scotland.
6 iv. Janet Marrion GRIEVE was born on 14 Nov 1846 in Cockburnspath, Berwick Scotland.
+7 v. Alice Johnstone GRIEVE.

I have 3 children for Thomas and Jane:
Alexander (1838-1838), George (1842-1842) and James (1845-1863). Thomas also had 2 daughters with his first wife - Helen (1833-1898) and Janet (1835-1835).
They may, of course, have had more children I've not found yet.

However, Alice's wedding cetificate says that her parents were Robert Grieve, road contractor, and Sarah Johnston.
