Hi Fiona. We are related. My GG grandparents were James Grieve and Isabella McMillan born and married in Kilmarnock. They moved to Dundee and worked in the Jute Mills. Their son Charles French Grieve was my G Grandfather. He married Margaret Devlin. Her parents were Hendry and Fanny from Northern Ireland. One of Charles later born children James was my Grandfather born in the parish of St Clemants Dundee. James survived the 1st world war and married my grandmother Jane Anderson in Dundee. They had a large family of 14 including 3 sets of twins. My father Douglas was one of the younger children and one of the twins. Most of the family still live in Dundee. Some of my father's brothers have emigrated to Canada and a sister is in South Africa. Please get in touch and we can share information and fill in some gaps. The trail wen cold for me in Kilmarnock so I am curious as to how you got back to John and Amelia. Regards Sheila Peters nee Grieve
