I NEED HELP! I have COL. THOMAS T. GRICE who is buried in the Old Memphis Cemetery in Pickens County, Alabama. His grave marker indicates he had a rank of COLONEL. Question is: Which war did he serve in?? His birth was 1817 and death 1854. Also note the following.

Thomas T. Grice was the son of Theophilus Grice and Mary (Polly) Harrison. The will of Theophilus Grice lists his children as: Temperance Ann who married Joseph H. Hinton on May 11, 1825, Thomas who married Eliza Jane Hinton on August 16, 1836, Sally who married Lazarus Cook, John who married Mary Simms on September 28, 1826, and Rhoda. Joseph H. and Eliza Jane Hinton were brother and sister.
I have several pages from a book on NC data and found this, though I am not researching this line, it is on same page with GRIFFIN data that I have been researching:
