Orangeburgh District, SC GRICE Family

On March 31, 1796, Alec Walker received a plat for 500 acres on Windy Hill Creek, South Edisto River, Orangeburgh District. The land was surveyed by Nathaniel Walker. One of the names indexed with this plat is GABRIEL GRICE.

I descend from Gabriel Grice, b.c1775; mar. Delilah Smith; resided in Elbert/Madison Cos., GA. Unfortunately, none of his descendants have been able to identify his parentage. With this new discovery of him mentioned in Orangeburgh Dist., SC, I am hoping someone will be able to help me identify his father.

Does anyone connect to the Grice family in Orangeburgh District, South Carolina area?
