I was born and raised in a small farming community in Upshur County, Texas named Grice. My grandmother has always said that Grice Community was named after a promenant founder and settler of the community sometime in the early 1800's. There used to be a country store there, and a baptist church and cemetary remain. I was just curious to know if anyone out there knows anything about who this man was or of any of his descendants. There are no longer any Grice's in the community and haven't been all of my life (24years).
