Zachariah Blackledge and Mary Pate were married in Clarke Co. Mississippi, 6 Oct. 1853. Mary Pate was the daughter of Daniel Pate and his wife Susahhan Graham Pate. About 1858, the Pates, Blackledges, Grahams, Boykins and many other Clarke Co. Miss. families joined Anderson Peter Parker and his wife Mary Graham (sister to Susannah Graham
Pate) in Leon County Texas. The Parkers and perhaps others from Mississippi came to Leon Co. TX about 1846.
Mary had children by Zachariah (Z.Z.) Blackledge and then he was killed in the Civil War. She married 2nd Edward/Edmond Gressett. cbh
