Hello Roland, and thank you for your reply.
The following entry also appears in the Filatrault ancestry given to me:

Charles Garnier, born Abt. 1600 in Bazouges, LaFlèche, Angers, Anjou (Sarthe), France; died in France. He married Jeanne Labraye Abt. 1620 in Bazouges, LaFlèche, Angers, Anjou (Sarthe), France.
This couple had three children, Louise, Marie-Marguerite, and Michelle. Marie-Marguerite, who is my direct ancestor through the Filiatrault connection, married Olivier Charbonneau.

Am I presuming correctly that this Charles Garnier is of a different line than the Charles I asked about in my previous posting? Do you have better dates for birth & death for this Charles and Jeanne Labraye? -- I have seen two or three birth dates posted by others and am wondering if there is a definitive, documented set of dates.

The fundamental question is whether either of these Grenier/Garnier entries cross with my wife's Grenier/Greenia ancestry. Interesting coincidence either way.
Thank you again for your always reliable help.
