We might have an interest in GRENFELL in Lead, Deadwood and Central City, SD.
My uncle Bateman EILBECK married Edith Alice HODGKIN on 24 Dec 1917 in Lead, SD. My EILBECK grandparents were married in Central City, SD, and my other EILBECK uncle Walter EILBECK lived in Deadwood above Old Style Saloon #10 where Wild Bill Hickock was killed in 1876.
Edith is the daughter of John Henry Douglas HODGKIN and Elizabeth Jane GRENFELL. I believe that Elizabeth GRENFELL is the daughter of William GRENFELL; she was born 11 April 1865 in Lands End, ENGLAND and died 8 Nov. 1908 in Terry, SD.
So, might we have a connection in Lawrence Co., SD?
EILBECKs are my mom's ancestors and so I have info on EILBECKs back about 300 years.
