Hi Rose,
The MARTIN surname somehow links to my tri-racial WEEDEN,WHILDEN,WEELDON/BROWN family line for which I can make NO CONNECTIONS, even after 14yrs of research.
Have come across the COMMODORE name as I research, and believe that my WEELDON ggrands were slaves in SC prior to
settling in Wilmington, NC in 1870.
Wonder if ANYTHING sounds familiar or if you can share anything abt the MARTIN surname that may be of help?
