I'm doing a research project on my family background and hoping to find some info on these surnames. My father is Cecil Harbin. Mom was Theresa Matilda Philbert...both of Grenada, West Indies. I know dad is from the village of Vendome, mom passed away when I was 10, so I never knew her family. They both emigrated to England in the 1960's, which was where my brother and I were born. I have one other brother, born in Grenada before they emigrated and two other siblings from Grenada (not my dads children) who I've never met. I know the Chateau name comes from my mom's father. Roberts comes from my dad's father (I think). Many unanswered questions, but I'm hoping someone has some info to share.

P.S. Anyone know anything about why people moved from Grenada to Trinidad in the 50's and 60's? I think my parents were in Trinidad before going to England.
