John A. Greiner (b. February 18, 1766 in Warwick Township, Lancaster County, PA and d. September 1832 in presumed Augusta County, Virginia) married Anna Maria Fishburn (b. May 3, 1769 in Dauphin County, PA and d. September 11, 1856 in presumed Augusta County, Virginia). Anna Maria's marriage to John A. Greiner is listed in the book The Fishburns by John Fishburn, Sunriver, Oregon, 1985 (p. 2).

John A. Greiner supposedly moved to Virginia in about 1787 and bought a large farm on Middle River, 5 miles north of Staunton, Virginia where the village of Varona is now located and where he lived until his death in 1832. John A. Greiner of Virginia is supposed to be the author of "Greiners of Old," a book I have not been able to locate anywhere.

John A. Greiner and Anna Maria Fishburn supposedly had one known son, George Greiner who m. Rachel Slagel. George is buried in a small family cemetery in Verona, Augusta County, Virginia owned by the Hamrick brothers. The birth and death dates on George Greiner's headstone are Nov. 25, 1800--April 5, 1850. George's wife Rachel may be buried nearby, but there is no marker for her.

Does anyone have a list of other children for John A. Greiner and Anna Maria Fishburn of Augusta County, Virginia ?
