Hi Marie,
A quick guide to proper names and familiar names in Lancashire, in order to be aware!
Hannah could be Suzanna, Lol/Laurence,
Susie/Suzanna/Susan/Susanna, Billy/William,
Annie/Ann/Anne, Jimmy/James, Elsie/Elizabeth.
I have two possible contacts based purely on names.James Gregson married Esther Kaye -1782.Children Thomas, John,Ellen,Penelope,Edward, Nancy, Suzanna, Elizabeth, James and Margaret. Now my line,I think, James Gregson married Mary Partington 1790, children Thomas,Alice,Nancy,Mary,John,James, Laurence,Alice. All these children had at least six to ten children themselves and named them the same as the above and when this hundred plus got going - all their children were named the same. There seems to be family movement between Blackburn, Brindle,Darwen and Accrington area.I think it is going to take me quite a time to sort out the dozens of James's,Thomas's, Henry's etc..Good news - if I can get beyond the 1770's many of the parish registers are in printed form and easy to research and a quick glance at Blackburn Parish Register 1653/80 has references to Thomas James and John on lower Darwen (between Accrington and Blackburn). If ever I sort it, I will be in touch.
Brian Gregson
