Thank you for your note!
I realize after browsing other messages I entered an on-going discussion. Isn't misinformation fun? I found a place which even claimed that "John Alton" was "John Alden", Cooper on the Mayflower. Ha!
It is obviously to me now that she could not be the mother of my Mathew Marvin Jr. (b. 1626) as Henry Gregory of Nottingham and Boston (b. ABT 1590) could not have had a daughter old enough to marry ABT 1622.

Though you may not be interested, or have the inclination, has any thought been given that Mathew Marvin's wife, "Elizabeth" might be an unrelated "Gregory" of Great Bently, Essex. I would stop pursuing this Gregory lead, but it seems there are quite a few people interested in the Marvin line and I have some family papers noting an Elizabeth Gregory which are not the product of the internet or Ancestry File misinformation. It could just be a long-standing error.
